I made it! I blogged in November:) but just barely....and if typepad is on Eastern time than I need to get movin'. I'm really sorry to all of you who come back to check for updates...my intentions to blog are always really good! And I'm really really humbled that you still DO come back!
I don't think I blogged about my trip to Arizona in September. I always enjoy Heidi Swapp and I love finding out where she finds her inspiration...I remember when she first mentioned Kobi Yamada, the author of the SHE book...When she started reading from it, I just wanted to take it all in. This year at Creative Escape she had another book of inspiration by Kobi that we used...called Ever Wonder..Ask questions and live into the answers. We did inspiration cards while we were there using some of the questions....When my scrap room is finished (if it will EVER be finished) LOL...I want to display some of these that speak to me....Here are some examples to ponder...
Do you love everybody you love?
What if you looked for the good in everyone and every situation?
If you're not happy with what you have, how could you be happier with more?
What if you lost everyone and everything in your life right now...and then somehow got them back?
These questions really make me ponder if I'm living the life I'm meant to live. Am I passing moments by with busyness or am i making moments matter? I want to focus on how truly blessed I am to have such amazing family & friends:)
BLESSINGS!
Have you ever been BOO'ed? The kids and I had so much fun putting this together and sneaking to our neighbors to drop these off! You can find a lot of different variations on this....just google "we've been boo'ed" We did this yesterday and FIRST thing this morning I hear our door dings (from our alarm) go off! And then I hear a VERY excited six year old say "MOMMY, we've been BOO'ed too! LOOK! LOOK!" And this is how one gets their day started with candy;)
You can watch it here:)
Have a blessed day!
TRISH- you win! Will you please email me your addy?thanks everybody for playing! I am getting so close to getting my scrap studio {design} finished! & The cool thing is....you will get to see my ScrapStudio from start to finish in the next couple of months;)
This quote was posted on Ali's blog..it is by Anna Quindlen...and since I read it, I can't stop thinking about it. Am I living in the moment or am I trying to be one step ahead? (or behind some days?)
"...but the biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make while doing this. I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. There is one picture of the three on them sitting in the grass on a quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages 6, 4, and 1. And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in a hurry to get on to the next things: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less."
Have BLESSED MONTH! (cause that seems to be how often I post...no comments from the peanut gallery, ie. my sil:)
