In my previous life:) ie. before I had Christian, I used to work for Franklin Templeton Investments in Human Resources in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Matter of fact, that is where I went into labor when I was pregnant with Christian:) It's so sad to look at this building now. I used to work on the 9th floor. This company has been through a lot in the last four years. Right before I had Christian, September 11th happened and Franklin Templeton had 500 employees that worked in tower 2 of The World Trade Center. My last days at FT were very sad to say the least.
My MIL still lives in South Florida, as do a lot of our friends. I know they are without power now and a lot of people have damage to property inside and out. Thankfully, my MIL is fine. And her house is fine. Her landscaping and trees...not so fine. But all of that can be fixed. I just pray they get power soon. I'm not worried about my MIL...she is very resourceful. Last night she was going to go boil water on her grill so she could make "camp coffee" ! I just hope and pray that our country does not have to suffer through anymore natural disasters! I think we have seen plenty in our lifetime.
Okay, I am going to scrap now (if Allie allows me too) and I will try to post later with a "not so debbie downer" post. Happy Tuesday to you all! (photo by Tim Rasmussen, Sun-Sentinel)

Kel, This is a sad blogging day. However, I am glad that our dear MIL is safe. Bless her lil' heart with her battery operated items. Do you think you could post some happier things? Say, with pics of my precious niece and nephew? I love those lil' buggers. See ya in a few weeks! Love, Aunt Traci
