One of our assignments from the Inspiration weekend was to do a layout of ourself and put it up in our scrap room. I chose to use my own title and quote:) The title is "I AM A WORK IN PROGRESS" & the quote under it is "Life brings simple pleasures to us everyday. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories."

I just love how nice it is out! And so do my kids! We had to spend lots of time outside today because they were not liking all of my phone time this morning....... talking to the county, the design reviewer, the title company people etc....Even though we are going to be in a subdivision, we are still going to be septic and I know way more about sewage than I EVER wanted to know! Please keep us in your prayers. We close on our lot on Friday afternoon:)
WOW! What an awesome weekend! I Was able to spend time with some great friends. I was inspired by some amazing women such as Heidi Swapp, Elsie Flannigan and Cathy Zielske.
Both Heidi and Cathy said some great things that I don't want to forget.
This was my first time taking a class from Cathy Z who I think is scrapbooking for all the right reasons. She said that we should let the content of our lives guide our scrapbooking. Do 
more moments. Scrap more of the little things. Sometimes it's hard for NON-SCRAPPERS to understand the passion I have. Right now I would give anything to find out what I was like when I was little like Allie. Did I love princesses? Did I have her adorable naturally curly fine hair? Was I cuddlily like her? Did I adore my daddy like she adores hers? What funny things did I say at her age? Did I sleep much? Did I like to eat waffles for every meal like she would? This creativity feeds my soul and who I am right now. This weekend was about finding inspiration internally and also exploring the outside world. Here is a picture of my friend Cathy Z. and me....(hee hee, I think she might just know I am KelliCrowe's friend). But nontheless.....here we are:)
Here is a couple of things that Heidi mentioned during her talk.....

We also celebrated............Miss Kelli Crowe's 21st Birthday!
We also did A LOT of shopping!!!!!
Some of us did a lot! (I won't say who:) I will say it was her birthday last week too:) but it was oh-so-fun! I mean really, Monique was one smart cookie hosting this event at a great hotel CONNECTED to the mall. I mean like right there. Not even down a long hall way or skywalk to get to it!

This week has flown by! I mean how can it be Thursday already? We got home late Monday night from Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area) and then, it's all been a blur since then. And I've been kinda cranky. I think stress might do this to me. My hubby is a Saint. Seriously. He is GOD-GIVEN! No other way to explain it really. The most UNSelfish man I know. When I tell him I'm sorry I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off he says, that's ok.....I know that this is not normally you. ( what he does know is this:

So I am leaving for Birmingham to go to the Scrap ETC event today! So excited. It is going to be fun. Fun I say. Going with a couple of my favorite girls. Our hotel is connected to a mall. Could be another NO-SLEEP weekend!
Back to Florida.....(see how my brain works) We had an EXCELLENT time! I want to share lots of pictures but I just haven't had time this week. We got to see our good friends, hang out with family, go to our "home church" for Easter. It was all great! And the kids had a blast!

Inspiration. I love decorating. Since we have been looking for a new house for so long, I have been keeping a journal of decorating or decorating accents that I like. Even layouts of kitchens, lighting, furniture. Colors. All of it. It makes me happy. First of all organizing anything makes me happy. Makes me feel like I have accomplished something. This is a binder that I covered with Scenic Route (which is mostly from Jenni B's April kit). I have page sheets from Staples, and business card holders for any builders we have met with, interior designers etc. I even have a list of websites for home decor, home improvements or decorating. I also have a composition book for Scrapbooking inspiration. It's been bothering me because some of the pages are sticking out. So I am going to put all of that in a binder too......plus it will be easier to access. The pictures next to the binder are a couple examples of what I have inside.
I forgot to mention that yesterday while at Target C & A had an equally good time in the egg decorating isle. We came home with a Star Wars set and a Princess set. (granted Mr. c has never seen Star Wars, but daddy likes it so that is just as good!) We had such a good time decorating last night. It made me realize how blessed I am to see the world through a boy and a girl's eyes. Darth, c3po and snow white looked like friends. Have a blessed day :)
O-la- Is that Spanish for hello? In my head that is how you spell it! I don't think you would want me to go to any Spanish speaking country with you. All the words I know I was either taught by my brother in law's (and it probably doesn't mean what they told me so I'd be scared to use it,) and the words that my 4 year old has taught me from Dora)! 
Anywhoooooooooo It was a goooooooooooooooooddddddddddd mail day today! I ordered some stuff (that scrap it doesn't carry of course!) My Jenni Bowlin kit came!YEAH! And my "Mom after God's Own Heart" book came! It will be perfect reading while I am at the beach:)
I also met Jeanette at Target today. She has this great system that she uses to stay on task during the week. And of course she makes it all cute and creative. So that right there makes me want to follow the list. So she is going to make me one too....so we picked up a few supplies. (and of course a few other things I didn't know that I needed:)
I think I have a serious paper problem. 
Serious.
If something happens to me will you scrap girlfriends please decoupage me in my casket? Because I think that would make me happy. Of course I think that I will be 90. And maybe by then there will be something better than decoupage.
Look at that cute notebook on the right. I love the pattern. and the colors. I don't need a notebook. I have lots. but the difference is I don't have this cute one. But in my defense...I really needed that cute address book on the left. And the real simple people were soooo smart because they have sticky labels that can go over an address when 
someone has moved. so instead of scribbling it out or making your own label.....they are already done for you. When Jeanette and I made it to the office section of Target we were having heart palpitations o
ver the cute stuff. And notepads, and baskets, and drawers and ....oh my. And look at the calendar. It starts in July 2006 and it has cute colored tabs to write in your families stuff.
Here is my Alliegirl. C has not wanted to get his picture taken too much lately. He's been too busy. And the camera just gets in his way to what he needs to accomplish. LOL.
Okay friends and family........ Here is our exciting news. Most of you know we have been looking for a new house for over a year now. Both Rob and I had things that were important to us {and for our children} when we were searching.....And we wanted to be in this house for A LONG TIME, UNLESS we move out of state. So, after much prayer and patience we have been blessed. This really helped us realize that things must come in God's time and not ours. We found a great level lot with beautiful trees and a creek behind it. And we seriously need to thank Jeanette because she is actually the one who found us this amazing property (just down the road from her.) It was a "for sale by owner" lot that is 1.07 acres. A dream for Rob. And a dream for me to be able to build the house that will be best suited for our family:) And...through a series of awesome events (property like this does not come available in our area that often......and when it does....it goes quick.).......luckily our contract was accepted! Please keep us in your prayers as we continue the process and meet with the county, builders, contractors etc.
What a couple weeks we have had here. Bad weather. 19 tornado's reported today. C&A spent lots of time in the closet while I paced window to window and then TV to TV. I'm not sure if some of my clothes or purses will ever be the same. Prayed for safety and for Rob to get home {quickly}. Luckily we did not have any tornadic action in our town. Just HUGE hail. We are still on alert until 4am. It might be a long night!
Now onto something happier. Here are some recent pictures of the kiddos. I've had some requests from the fam for some updates. They are both so funny! (Not sure why Allie's picture ended up being so much bigger, next time I'll give C the stage!
We have some very exciting news to share, but I have to wait until some more details are finalized. (and NO, I'm not pregnant:)

Coming to you live from Laundry-ville. Now really, I want to be a Proverbs 31 woman. But, I struggle. I am soooooooo blessed to be able to stay home---and I thank my sweet hubby continually. I think laundry and dishes are over-rated. Really. I would almost rather do anything than the dishes. Like for instance, I cleaned the kids bathroom. Wiped out the fridge, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen....counters, floor etc... all to avoid the dishes. Now really. I have serious issues. Don'tcha think doing the dishes would have been easier than all that? Luckily I have an AMAZING husband who doesn't mind doing the dishes while watching a little ESPN. Bless him. Let's talk about laundry. Similar to the dishes. Always there. No matter what! (to save I have decided it is perfectly OK to be in pj's all day!, except for hubby, because that would just not be acceptable at work.) So with my new rule he is the only one allowed to wear two outfits in a day. So feel free to stop by...as long as you don't mind our attire.
On my sidebar you will notice one of books is "A Woman After God's Own Heart, by Elizabeth George." I LOVE this book. It was introduced to me at a Woman's conference right after I got married and I read it over and over again. Today I jumped on her website to see what was going on and for some encouragement....given my lack of enthusiasm for dishes and laundry. And she has a new book out!!!!!!!! "A Mom after God's Own Heart"! I went straight to add to cart and then to checkout. And it is FREE SHIPPING on that book along with "A Woman After God's Own Heart and A Wife After God's Own Heart." Here is a couple of layouts that I have done as well. The "At the patch layout" was done with a not so great picture...that was before my digi rebel. I can't believe what a difference it has made in my pics! And I promise they are not crooked in real life. I need a new scanner. The one I have is a little bit temperamental!
