The best decision......ever!

8 Years ago today, I made the best decision of my life. I married my best friend. It still amazes me to this day, that God chose me for his wife. 

Here is a little something I wrote about a year and a half ago...

Can I just tell you that my husband is the best thing that ever happened to me? Hands down.  Yep.  Guess what else? He cooks, he cleans, he does laundry, He NEVER complains, he can always be counted on, he puts up with my cranky moods, he values others opinions even if they aren't the same as his, he supports my scrapbooking/photography obsession whole heartily, he puts gas in my car, he's willing to go to the grocery store, he's my tech support engineer, he loves golf, he listens, he is supportive, he is a Godly man, and.....he is the best daddy and the best husband in the whole world!!

I'm so thankful for him today!

Gobble, gobble, gobble

We made these for the kids pre-school party on Friday:) They were a big hit!  A and C loved helping me....but they loved eating them more. We are going to make them again on Thanksgiving for the place settings. So easy to do! You can google Oreo Turkeys and find many different ways to make them. Off to play! Blessings!

{Pajama Day}

  Hi folks! It is almost Monday here and I already know we are having a pajama day!!!. Daddy made a fort in the bonus room so we might not even leave the upstairs!  What fun things do you plan to do this week?  I {{heart}}Holiday weeks:) Have a blessed day!

Thursdayramblings

See my goofball. She gets so silly in front of the camera. I need to practice with people that aren't constantly on the move:) So I bought some material to make a tutu for her. Yeah. I'm not crafty with the sewing. Matter of fact, right now my new sewing machine sits with dust because it won't sew for whatever 100 reasons it could be, and HONESTLY I am too impatient to deal with it.  I think I'll put hubby on that one tonight. Guys like figuring that kind of stuffs out. Or I can pretend he likes it. Ha.

So I am in FULL CHRISTmas mode. I feel no stress. More than half of my shopping is done. I have some packages wrapped. I already know the last gifts I need to buy. Including hubby's:) I have started decorating...Can  you tell this is my favorite Holiday? For many, many reasons!!! I don't have to cook for Christmas. Yay!  So that relieves some stress. Hubby said we have to buy a cheap tree (frasier fur) since I want it already and it will  most likely be dead before Christmas and we will have to buy a new one! Ha.

Girls Weekend:)

Greetings! Long time no post!

Let me start off by saying that I am the luckiest girl alive! My hubby is so caring and thoughtful. I know I've said this several times about him, but he is wonderful. And I am blessed.

I have been gone for three days shopping. THREE STRAIGHT DAYS! In Atlanta:) And it was so much fun! Let me just preface that there were four girls but three of us had to share suburban space to get home! And if anyone has EVER shopped with Jeanette, then you know that she majored in shopping. And in her words "she has spatial issues". Meaning she doesn't realize when she shops for three days straight that she has to actually be able to get her goods home.  And so do two other people who also have been shopping for three days! Let's just say that we could barely see poor Kerri in the backseat! It really was a good time and I have lots of Christmas Shopping done! Yay!  (the top picture is of my bags when I got home!) See the cute Gap Christmas pajamas for C, A and cousin Zoey? They say gifted on the front! Ha. So cute. 

As I have discussed before, I have a paper problem. I actually knew I was going to be buying most of my wrapping at the container store. I loved what I bought their last year and this year I couldn't wait to get more! I have a serious problem. Like I had to drag myself out of there. I think I almost have as much fun buying ribbon and wrapping as I do shopping for the gifts;O) 

And to top of my trip, I got to meet up with mskellicrowe and have lunch with her and do a little shopping! See the funky picture of us? And the pic of Jeanette and I? Yep. Brought the point and shoot. Bad.  I'm sure I'm making no sense. I am super tired and I must get to bed! Bless you if you made it this far!

This Girl

This girl, Kelli Marie Darr.

This girl is simply my life, my one and only.

I am obviously an avid reader of this blog and I even lurk around on some of your blogs occasionally.  Between them, I have read many of your wonderful comments about this girl.  Let me just tell you that not only are they all true, they are only the tip of the iceberg.

She is a scrapper, photographer, blogger and a blog lurker.  She is a Christian, wife, mother and friend.  She’s a Bachelor/Bachelorette junkie.  She could live on Starbucks and chocolate (who couldn't).  She misses her family, even if she’s only away from us for an hour.  She’ll laugh with you and cry with you, but most importantly, she’ll pray with you.

She always wants to be better, a better Christian, wife, mother, friend, scrapper, photographer and blogger.  But where this girl is so special, is that she does not want to be better for her, she wants to be better for us.  She gives everything she has, all the time.

A perfect day for her is a pajama day at home, filled with hugs and kisses, games and puzzles, Starbucks, scrapping, and breakfast for dinner.

A perfect day for me is a day with this girl.  She is wonderful.  She is great at everything she does.  She is a gift from God.  I am thankful for every perfect day with her and am looking forward to thousands of perfect days ahead.  I want her to know that.  I want the world to know that.

Scrappy Stuffs

Here is some scrappy stuff I have been working on lately. Love board books. I think that is my new favorite.  I have to thank Jann for turning me onto them...And Amber too:) She is teaching such a cute holiday board book at Scrap it! And Hambly. Oh my goodness. I can't wait until my order is here. I want to use it on everything.

The next is a simple layout I did of my bil and sil at their reception.  My BIL surprised his bride by singing a song to her. It was the cutest thing ever! He sang I Wanna Grow Old With You. The song from The Wedding Singer that Adam Sandler sang to Drew.

Dear Scrapworks, please don't ever get rid of your 12x12 Bay Box Albums. I might cry. And can you please make more so they are not always on backorder. Thank you, your loyal customer.
